Le Trépaïs
Trépaîs cake
« Trépaïs » means « three counties » in Occitan. It is a regional speciality, created by the Regional Association of Limousin Pastry chefs. This delicious cake is in layers made from chocolate, hazelnuts and chestnuts.

Le gâteau Arena
The gâteau Aréna takes its name from its inventor, Paulin Arena, a pastry chef in Saint-Junien at the end of the 19th century.
In 1908, Paul Arena, Paulin’s son, entered the cake in a national competition in Paris and it won the « Grand Prix ».
It is made of blanched almonds, egg-white, sugar, flour and butter and is a firm favourite with everyone.

Gâteau Arena
Le Cyrano
This sweet was created by François Boursier in 1970. It is named after Jean Piat, a well-known actor in this area who was playing the role of Cyrano de Bergerac at the time. The sweet is a prune soaked in orange liqueur and filled with praline, then dusted with icing sugar.

Created in Monsieur Sadry’s cake shop at the beginning of the 20th century, the Rochechouartais is made of biscuit, cream, almonds and hazelnuts. It now has pride of place at Jean-Marie and Peggy’s shop, Panorama des Délices, at Rochechouart. It is also available in individual portions.
